As the fall sets in, let’s walk into the future with new hopes & dreams

Dear Parents,

Namaste!

As we march ahead to the onset of winters, I would like to take you all through the journey we have had over the month of October. In addition to the planned activities as per the annual almanac, we have taken several initiatives that brought new experiences, learning, and enriched the personality of our students as well as teachers.

This month we conducted many special activities on the online & offline mediums that not just got huge participation but also brought back excitement and cheerfulness at GIIS, Noida campus post-pandemic times. One such event was the first-ever All India Online Chess Tournament in collaboration with PEFI and UPCSA that witnessed massive participation from students across the country, approx. 430 chess enthusiasts from all over India joined us to test and exhibit their talent and skills on this unique platform.

We also got the opportunity to host the great scientists and mathematicians from the ‘All India Ramanujan Maths Club’ along with eminent officials from NCERT. We were handpicked by the AIRMC for hosting their prestigious nationwide Amrut Bharat Gantic Yatra that went to 75 schools across 25 states of the country. This was the first offline event hosted by the school post-pandemic times. In the event, a special exhibit of science and maths models was prepared by students from grade 1 onwards. The event proved to be an excellent opportunity for our students to hone their mathematical and scientific skills as they presented their work in presence of some of the top delegates of the club & NCERT.

The month also brought in a lot of laurels and recognition for all the hard work and sweat we’ve put in over the past few weeks. Our senior and middle school students did exceptionally well in GED celebrations and won in their resp. categories. We bagged the Silver Award for successfully rolling out best practices of the Kaizen philosophy and quality display of those practices across all segments. Not just this, our students bagged another title by presenting their take on the problem of Bullying faced by the students and got awarded at the ACE competition hosted by the Asia Pacific Quality Organization.

All these activities, events, and awards are a testimony of the hard work that goes in by each member of the team at GIIS, Noida. We always strive to deliver nothing but the best to our students and parents as they are the ones who have been our absolute companions in this journey of educational excellence.

At last, I am extremely happy to share that the physical strength of students attending the offline school has gone up this month, I would like to thank parents for believing in the system and protocols that have been put in place for safety & security of our students. More and more children/parents have overcome their fear of being affected by the virus, and have helped us in restoring the liveliness of the campus like it used to be before the pandemic.

Thank you,

Ganesh Sharma

Principal, GIIS Noida
