Dear Parents,
Season’s greetings to you and your family! As the calendar turns to a new year, we look back at December, a month that truly nurtured the community spirit here at GIIS Noida. It was a time of connection, celebration, and giving – a reflection of the values we hold dear.
The Christmas carnival under the theme of Global Christmas was one of the highlights of the month. It felt like a journey around the world as we experienced Christmas celebrations inspired by the traditions of 11 different countries where GSG has a presence. There were influencers and special guests who added extra sparkle to the occasion. We also had segment-wise Christmas celebrations so that each child would enjoy the festive time.
But December was not just about celebration; it was also about making a difference. Our senior students had an enriching visit to the CSIR National Physical Laboratory, broadening their horizons. Meanwhile, the Interact Club brought warmth and kindness into action with their winter clothing drive. In the first phase, partnered with Hamara Kartavya Organisation, our students distributed woollen clothes, socks, shawls, and blankets to underprivileged children in Sector 62, Noida. We expanded this initiative to more families by teaming up with Hope and Care Foundation during the second phase, so no one was left out. It was wonderful to see our students lead with such compassion.
We also had some proud moments with our students' achievements. Yuvraj Arora won the silver medal in the State Level Jujutsu Competition and is now getting ready for the Nationals. The Grade 1 and 2 students impressed everyone with their participation in the Brain Quest General Knowledge Quiz Competition, with their knowledge and enthusiasm.
GIIS Noida also hosted an insightful webinar on Mindful Parenting with Ms Vaishali Borde- National Co-scholastics Head, GIIS India. The session helped the parents build a stronger parent-child connection and understand mindfulness in parenting, fostering open communication, empathy, and emotional resilience in their children. It provided practical tools for creating a supportive home environment that nurtures a child's growth, well-being, and overall development.
We organised Safety Week for our pre-primary students, focusing on essential life skills. These initiatives highlight our commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering holistic development.
As we step into January, preparations are in full swing for our Annual Day and Sports Days. This exciting start to the year gives us the perfect opportunity to thank you for your unwavering support and encouragement. Your trust and involvement are the foundation of everything we accomplish as a community. Thank you for being such an integral part of this journey. Together, we are building a nurturing environment where every child can flourish and aspire to achieve their dreams.
Warm Regards,
Ganesh Sharma
