GIIS KL Earth Day Assembly - Classes 1 To 5

Our planet Earth is an amazing place to live but it needs our support to thrive. Earth Day is celebrated all over the world and more than a billion people celebrate Earth Day to raise awareness and to protect our planet from pollution and deforestation. Although every day should be an Earth Day, but April 22 gives an opportunity to everyone to initiate protective steps for our great planet.

Keeping the above in view, the Earth Day Assembly was held for the GIIS KL Campus primary students of classes 1 to 5.  The whole school had the opportunity to watch the students from various classes conducting various performances including songs, poems, and skits.

The little ones from Class 2 performed a group song showing recycling ideas and encouraging students to bring reusable bottles and spoons. The students of Class 3 recited a poem ‘Mother Earth’ with a great message to take care of the only planet with life. Class 4 & 5 students presented a skit with a message-  ‘Recycle Reuse Reduce plastic’ to save our planet.

The Earth Day message was well received among all the students, and it was wonderful to see the budding confidence and enthusiasm in them.

The Earth is what we all have in common- Wendell Berry, Novelist
