GIIS KL recently hosted a heartwarming celebration of Raksha Bandhan, the Hindu festival symbolizing the bond between brothers and sisters.
On August 19, 2024, the school's kindergarten students came together with their siblings and older students from Standards 10, 11, and 12 to partake in this special occasion. The event was filled with love and joy.
The young students, adorned with colorful rakhis (bracelet), eagerly tied them onto the wrists of their siblings and senior peers. In return, they received chocolates and words of encouragement. The event was not just about exchanging gifts but also about fostering a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood among the students.
The celebration aligned with GIIS KL's 9GEMs framework, specifically Gem 7: Universal Values and Ethics. By participating in this event, the students learned about the importance of family bonds, respect, and compassion.
The Raksha Bandhan celebration at GIIS KL was a memorable experience for all involved. It was a testament to the school's commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also the holistic development of its students.
