Standard 9 and 10 students from GIIS KL and GIIS Balewadi recently embarked on a unique project to design their own dream countries. This innovative initiative aimed to foster creativity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of global development goals.
The project involved students working in teams to create a comprehensive webpage for their imagined countries. Each team was tasked with designing a country name, constitution, flag, anthem, economic system, and natural resources. The students' presentations showcased their creativity and innovative ideas as they presented their unique visions for their dream nations.
The project aligned with several of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and GIIS's 9Gems framework. By focusing on industry, innovation, infrastructure, sustainable cities, climate action, and skills development, the students were encouraged to consider the interconnectedness of global challenges and explore potential solutions.
The event provides students with a valuable opportunity to collaborate, learn from each other, and develop essential skills for the future. As they continue to explore the world around them, the students' experiences in this project will undoubtedly inspire them to become active citizens and contribute to a more sustainable and equitable future.
