A World of Peace, Starts in 4B

Standard 4B took the GIIS KL field by storm on August 6th with a powerful assembly celebrating International Day of Peace (Hiroshima Day)! These young peacemakers transformed the field into a stage of harmony and understanding. With heartfelt speeches about the importance of peace in our daily lives, they painted a vivid picture of a united world. Their voices echoed the tragic events of Hiroshima, reminding us of war's devastating consequences.

The students also shared a beautiful poem that portrayed a world filled with kindness and cooperation. And let's not forget their amazing singing performance—truly a melody of peace!

Principal Ms. Dipti Joshna joined the fun by asking thought-provoking questions, making the assembly even more interactive. Her insights added a special touch to the event.

This assembly wasn't just about learning; it was about inspiring action. By focusing on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals: SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), Standard 4B showed us that even the youngest minds can be powerful forces for change. This assembly also resonates with GIIS 9GEMS core values such as Gem 7: Universal Values and Ethics and Gem 8: Community and Care.

We’re incredibly proud of our little peacemakers! Their passion and commitment to creating a better world is truly inspiring.
