Global Schools Foundation chairman Atul Temurnikar attended the swearing in ceremony of Indian prime minister Narendra Modi as he took oath of office for the second term in May 2019.
Mr Temurnikar was among the handful of Non-Resident Indians invited to the swearing-in where selected guests were handpicked from across the world. The chairman was among three guests from Singapore.
Speaking about the ceremony, Mr Temurnikar said that he was honoured to be invited to the event, and wished the prime minister a successful second stint in office. “Mr Modi has been an advocate of quality learning and stress free assessment in schools, which is why his vision is a great way forward for institutions like us.”
Mr Temurnikar also expressed confidence that under the leadership of PM Modi, education sector in India will grow by leaps and bounds in the right direction, and provide equal opportunity to all talented students in India.
Prime Minister Modi is an advocate of stress free assessment system in education, which will enable students to not get tensed about exams. He has earlier held his hugely successful 'pariksha pe charcha' talks where students from around the country and abroad were asked to participate by asking a question to the PM. GIIS was among the schools who had participated in the event.
