Dear Parents,

We are completely in sync with Lilly Pulitzar when she postulates - “Being happy never goes out of style.”

We at GIIS EC, welcomed the new academic year. Balloons, festoons and pennants adorned the walls as we ushered the students in. Because we believe, we are also beginners when we start a new academic year, braving the year shoulder to shoulder, with our students. As they say, A calm sea never made a skilled sailor.

It isn’t news that we at GIIS EC, from time to time, access the rich repository of our parent community through Meet and Greet sessions at the beginning of every academic year. This year was also no different as parents – both new and should I say, old - poured in to meet the teachers. It gives us a fantastic platform to mingle freely, share concerns or acknowledge the best practices of the previous year. New parents find camaraderie which helps them to mitigate the ways they find challenging with the help of experienced parents. I warmly welcome each and every one of you heartily into the folds of our vibrant community.

Speaking of last academic year – the Global School Awards acknowledged and recognised the fantastic accomplishments of our students in the last academic year, both in sports and academics. Proud faces shone galore on the stage and in the audience when a student went resolutely on the stage to collect the honours. Resolute to outshine themselves to become a better version. They have indeed made all of us proud and we cannot also help but glow, for being the catalyst. May each of you become your own competitor and outshine and outperform.

As we await the Board results of CBSE 10, the IGCSE 10 board exams have begun and all the teachers, who have mentored the batch, their hearts are palpitating wildly – like a train pounding down the tracks. The close association that we feel with each child, makes us unique and may we continue to feel close to each child like our own.

The auditions for Global Indian Stars, our annual musical bonanza, are in full swing and with each year the competition is getting tougher. The aural richness is making it tough for the judges. May the best singer become an icon the world will remember.
