GIIS East Coast Campus celebrates Mother's Day with myriad activities 


“There has never been, nor will there ever be, anything quite so special as the love between a  mother and her child.”

 

GIIS East Coast Campus hosted Mother’s Day on May 12, celebrating the special bond shared by the children and their mothers. The campus was filled with excitement as mothers and their children enthusiastically participated in a wide range of competitions and activities. Over 200 mothers joined in the festivities, making it a memorable occasion for all.

 

The event showcased the immense talent and love between mothers and their children. The talented mothers enthralled the audience with their dance performances, leaving both judges and spectators in awe. The talent show was a testament to the incredible coordination and bond shared by the mothers and their children.

 

Creativity flourished on campus as mothers and children engaged in various activities. The participants designed beautiful T-shirts and crafted unique masks, showcasing their artistic skills. Utilising recycled materials, they created stunning Rangolis that captured the hearts of many. The cooking without fire segment saw over 50 participants preparing a wide array of delicious dishes, showcasing their culinary expertise.

 

Sports enthusiasts among the mothers formed teams for the Cricket Match and Badminton Tournament, displaying their competitive spirit and passion for the games. Additionally, around 30 mothers joyfully participated in fun races, adding an extra dose of excitement to the day.

 

The young students, with the guidance of their class teachers, planned surprise activities for their beloved mothers in the classrooms. The Mollycoddle sessions touched the hearts of the mothers, creating beautiful memories.

 

The Guest of Honour Ms Gauri Savadi, President of the Indian Women Association, Singapore was deeply impressed by the overwhelming participation and the enthusiasm displayed by the mothers.

The day concluded with the prize distribution and refreshments. A surprise song rendition by Ms Rakhi made everyone emotional. It was indeed a soul touching performance. The happy moms and their proud kids made it a special day at GIIS-EC. Events like this, help the students to imbibe values such as gratitude, appreciation, and acknowledgment.

 

The day concluded with a prize distribution ceremony and a delightful spread of refreshments. Music Teacher Ms Rakhi Chatterjee’s emotional song rendition left everyone teary-eyed. The happiness radiating from the mothers and the pride of their children made it a truly special day at the campus. Events like this not only celebrate the bond between mothers and children but also instill values of gratitude, appreciation, and acknowledgment within our students.
