On January 12, 2024, GIIS East Coast Campus hosted a Leadership workshop focused on Effective Communication and Team Spirit, led by Mr Kenal Kothari and his team from the Shrimad Rajchandra Mission. The workshop engaged Grade 7 and 8 students from both CBSE and CLSP, providing a morning of insightful learning and sharing.
Students delved into various aspects of communication and team building, discovering how to enhance their internal and external communication skills effectively. The module aimed to foster harmony within oneself and among interpersonal relationships, covering a holistic range of leadership topics through interactive, activity-based learning supplemented with audio-visual aids.
Emphasising important nuances of public speaking such as posture, tone, and eye contact, students also learned the safe and responsible use of mass communication, guided by the TUG principle: Is it true, useful, and good?
For Grade 8 students, the focus was on Team Spirit, highlighting the significance of effective collaboration in diverse groups and contributing to collective success. Through engaging activities, students stretched their imagination, leveraging each other's strengths to drive positive outcomes.
The session left students with valuable takeaways, enhancing their practical life skills. These leadership workshops conducted regularly at the school, continue to provide students with pragmatic life lessons, enriching their learning journeys.
