CBSE primary students from the GIIS East Coast Campus made an outstanding achievement by winning the HiQ Quiz Inter School Competition hosted by GIIS SMART Campus on Oct 12, 2022. As part of the competition, students from seven teams from four international schools including Yuvabharathi International School, GIG International School, GIIS East Coast Campus, and GIIS Smart Campus competed for the coveted title. 

All the teams gave in their best showcasing their knowledge on a wide variety of topics and competing against each other. Two teams from GIIS East Coast Campus, one each from PYP and CBSE participated in the competition. Team A from GIIS East Coast Campus with its members Kavin Saravanan, Darrel Shejo George, and Shreyas P Joseph contested against the other six teams in five engaging rounds and won the title. The GIG international school won the first runner-up title, while the GIIS SMART Campus won the 2nd runner-up title.   

The idea behind providing platforms like HiQ at GIIS is to encourage the students to showcase their knowledge and expertise in fields outside classroom learning. It elevates their confidence while allowing them to identify areas they need to work which would help them become well-rounded individuals.
