GIIS East Coast Campus celebrated Gandhi Jayanti on Oct 3 commemorating the 153rd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi by organisng an array of activities for its students. As part of the celebration, the students from Grade 1 to Grade 10 participated in a creative charkha-making activity, wrote essays, and watched a documentary on the life of Mahatama Gandhi. 

The students also participated in activities such as colouring pictures, word searches, quizzes, and participated in an extempore speech on the life and teachings of the Mahatma. 

Overall, the students celebrated the occasion in high spirits and learned about various new facts about the great leader’s values and ethics that he truly believed in. Through events like this, the school encourages its students to become morally responsible citizens of the future.
