SINGAPORE, 27 NOVEMBER, 2018: The occasion of Children’s Day was made even more special as deserving students from the East Coast campus were given Scholarship certificates during a Scholarship Award Ceremony organised on14th November.
The school aims to give students the best opportunities in their educational journey. Hence, it has introduced a number of scholarships and fee assistance programmes under the Scholarship Programme 2019. These programs are the broadest and widest offered by any school in Singapore.
As the ceremony begun, Ms Madhu Khanna, the school Principal, welcomed the parents and briefed them about the scholarships. She congratulated the students for their achievements and parents for their hard work. An enthralling classical dance was performed by the students to welcome the parents.
The students of Grades 1 to 6 were then awarded scholarships under three categories: Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Global Skills Scholarship - recognising the outstanding talents of the students, Mahatma Gandhi Universal Values Scholarship - to support the deserving students in their educational journey and Global Future Skills Scholarship - designed for the students of merit and distinction who exhibit qualities that are highly promising as leaders and global citizens of tomorrow.
20 students were awarded APJ Abdul Kalam Global Skills Scholarship, 12 students were awarded Mahatma Gandhi Universal Values Scholarship and 10 students were awarded Global Future Skills Scholarship.
The pride and happiness on the parents' face were worth noticing.
In accordance with its policy of ‘no child left behind’, the school has tried to go beyond academics and recognise deserving students from other fields also.
