Dear Parents,

Welcome back and wish you all a Happy New Year!

We welcome 2022 as we embark on this joyous journey, we would like to extend a hearty welcome to our dear students.We further look forward to a mutually rewarding experience together.

January marks the last lap of the school year, and we typically have several days devoted to various internal and external activities and exams throughout January - March. Despite the challenges the entire community faced throughout the year, teaching and learning has been continuous and consistent. We are working relentlessly to ensure that all safety protocols are implemented and that we are vigilant to address any eventuality.

We will be starting onsite coffee morning headed by our Principal and SLT members with parents from February 2022.The school will be more than happy to work in partnership with the parents to provide the  best learning environment for our students' overall progress.

January was a busy month with republic day activities, Arabic, French and Hindi Language competition and  ASSET practice classes. Grades 1-9 also attempted their Assessment 3/ PT2 tests. 

Students explored the art of Indian folk painter Jamini Roy. Grade 8 and 9 students conducted the Electricity saving Campaign. Spell Bee competition was conducted by Kindergarten to assess the children’s understanding of segmenting and blending the CVC words. Aryabhatta and Einstein day were celebrated in Kindergarten. Students attended the Level 1 - Smart Money Management of the Financial Empowerment Program, sponsored by Dubai Islamic Bank and delivered by KFI Global.

Besides all of the impressive work happening inside the classroom, we saw co curricular achievements by students. Anshumaan from Grade 4 was awarded the Top Cricket Fielder in “Cricket - raise your game” program. Aishwarya Malhotra of  Grade 7 won the second place in Essay writing Contest hosted by Zillion Pathways Coaching Institute (Dubai), in coordination with Sunrise English Private School (Mussafah, Abu Dhabi).

The new year for GIIS Dubai ushers in with recognition for its best practices fostering Creativity and innovation with the school winning the MILCA 2022 Gold Award of Quality for its two best practices Qutuhal and RISE(Robotics-innovation-STREAM-Exploration). The MILCA 2022 Gold Award was hosted by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).This is the second time in a row GIIS DUbai has won an Award for Qutuhal since its launch in 2018 and RISE Curriculum in 2019 from Indian Society for Quality (ISQ) and during 17th World Education Summit 2020 respectively.
