In a momentous event GIIS Dubai proudly held its annual investiture ceremony welcoming the new leaders for the academic year 2023-24. The campus was filled with excitement and pride as esteemed dignitaries, students and teachers gathered to witness the formal induction of the student council members. 

The ceremony was made more special by the presence of special guests, Mr. Dilip Kumar, Principal of GIIS, Abu Dhabi and Mr. Amol Vaidya,  Senior Director of Operations MENA and Country Director for UAE and KSA of Global Schools Foundation (GSF).

The day began with summoning divine blessings with a Quran recitation followed by a beautiful rendition of Bee Gees ‘Words’ by the school choir, that set the tone of the event.

The newly-elected student council, resplendent in their uniform, stood tall and proud as they took oath to lead GIIS, Dubai to greater glories.

The ceremony reached its pinnacle as the newly-elected leaders strutted to the auditorium stage where they were honoured with their new titles and gleaming badges of office. 

In an inspiring speech, school Principal Mr Antony Koshy said, “Nobody is born a leader, it is the experience that makes one. This grand occasion celebrates the immense potential in each and every one of you that will make you a responsible global citizen. Being a student council member is no easy task and you were chosen not just for your academic excellence but also because all of you possess the qualities of a true leader. I hope you lead by example, be authentic and stay true to your values.”

The investiture ceremony was a powerful testament to the school’s commitment to holistic development of students and equipping them with skills and values to lead and succeed.
