Students of GIIS Dubai embraced the festivities of Diwali through various fun-filled events. Kindergarteners participated in a Rangoli (Indian decorations formed with different patterns on the floor) competition with their parents by wearing ethnic wear and helping their parents design beautiful Rangoli patterns. Students across grades participated in Diwali-themed assemblies and decorated learning spaces with handmade wall hangings.

Rangoli powders and patterns filled the floors of the school's Multi-Purpose Hall as the Rangoli competition was organized in high spirits to celebrate the Festival of Lights. Parents of Kindergarteners chose the pattern of their choice and designed Rangoli with the help of their children. It was beautiful to watch students from different cultural backgrounds unite to celebrate Diwali with their parents.

Students of Grade 1 to 11 participated in assemblies, lighted diyas, designed paper hangings and indulged in various programs reflecting the celebrations of Diwali.
