On September 5, 2024, Global Indian International School Thailand celebrated Teacher’s Day with a unique event that beautifully blended the traditions of India and Thailand. The occasion featured the traditional "Waikru" ceremony—a Thai ritual honouring teachers—alongside captivating cultural performances, all expressing deep respect and gratitude towards educators.
The event was graced by Ms. Paulomi Tripathi, Deputy Chief of Mission at the Indian Embassy in Bangkok, as the guest of honour. She delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the pivotal role teachers play in shaping young minds. In a meaningful gesture, the Embassy of India generously donated 200 books to the school, underscoring its commitment to education.
This special celebration not only honoured the teachers but also reinforced the shared cultural values of India and Thailand in recognising the profound contributions of educators.
