BENGALURU, 1 APRIL, 2019 - With the Weekend of Wonders in action, Global Indian International School, Whitefield celebrated the joy of motherhood by organizing special games and activities. It saw a good number of footfalls with enthusiastic mothers in the school campus, all set to spend a memorable fun-filled day with their children. The fathers had also accompanied to be part of the celebration of motherhood. There were as many as 150 people present to participate in various activities that were organized to bring absolute joy.  The response was quite amazing and the happiness seen on the face of every mother was priceless.

The Pre Primary segment had a lot of engaging activities and fun games for mothers. The Skating Rink showcased a myriad of colours. Mothers and children made a perfect team for the Rangoli competition. The Pre Primary segment mothers showed great enthusiasm in all the activities organized by the teachers. Whether it was the Musical Chair or the Tug of War or the Flower Arrangement, there was sheer happiness on the faces of all the parents and children. Beautiful cards were gifted to all the Mothers as a token of love from the tiny cherubs. The parents were thankful to the teachers for organizing such a thoughtful event to spend quality time with their little prince and/or princess. The winners of all the competitions and games were felicitated with goodies.

In the Pre Primary segment it was great to see all the mothers participate in the special events lined up for them. There was the 'Dance with Family' competition where the talent of the mothers was seen springing up in action alongside their daughters. Yummy food made with love and without using gas or induction stove gave way to an array of delicacies prepared by mom-child team. The list of dishes were endless and the presentation was awe-amazing and so tempting to the taste buds. There was an awesome Fashion Show organized for GIIS mom and child duo based on the theme 'Best out of Waste'. The use of newspaper, onion sacks and other things qualifying the theme, were used as props during the ramp walk. As sports is an integral part of GIIS curriculum, this weekend special celebration was made all the more exciting with some sportive fun such as Lemon and Spoon Race, Ball race and Relay. The winners were all felicitated with medals.
