The beginning of the new session was very good and the month of June was very enterprising for GIIS Whitefield team. With the World Environment Day activities having made a very good impact across all the grades, it was so overwhelming to see the beautiful ways in which our students expressed took the pledge to recreate, reimagine and rethink how best to care for Nature.

‘Safety of Students’ has always been our prime concern and the ‘Safety Week’ observed in the month of June for all segments was definitely an intensive and extensive learning week on safety in various areas of daily lives. Cybersafety, safety at home and while playing or travelling, food safety, and the safety manual during COVID 19 times were the main topics covered with a lot of learning outcomes for the children.

The word yoga means connection and it is so important for every human being to build that connection with themselves through constant practice of pranayama and meditation. It is so important to teach our younger generation, the hidden benefits of Yoga that will have holistic effect on the mind and body, nurturing clarity of thought, word, and action.

One of the main initiatives in June is the introduction of the Kaizen Club at GIIS Whitefield. Kaizen is a name that is very familiar these days in every industry and education being the biggest sector all around the world, every change makes way for the better. With the Kaizen Club being part of our education system, students will be able to implement new things by keeping the ‘change for the better’ ideology in their minds. Also, I am happy to see the achievements of our teachers in the sports arena at the recent Inter GIIS Sports competition organized by GIIS Abu Dhabi. Congratulations to all the winners. Our students have begun the preparations for various competitions scheduled for the coming months. There is a lot of excitement and enthusiasm among the students with continuous guidance from teachers and parents.

With a lot of new teaching methodologies that our teachers will be implementing, there is a lot more to come next month. We wish the best to our students and we are grateful for the continuous support of our parents. We will together make this academic year, a great success in terms of academic excellence and continue the legacy of providing world-class education seamlessly.
