Primary students at GIIS Whitefield celebrate Hindi Diwas with great pride and enthusiasm

“Hindi is the soul of Indian culture” – Mr. Kamalapati Tripathi

Hindi is a language of great historical significance in India. Not only is it one of the most popular languages spoken by Indians but also a cornucopia of lingual art and masterpieces. It is a language of love, togetherness, and brotherhood and the whole nation comes together to celebrate its significance on 14th September every year as “Hindi Diwas”- the same day it was adopted as the official language of our nation.

Primary students of GIIS Whitefield celebrated Hindi Diwas with incomparable zest and fervour this year by organising a special assembly in the school campus. Dressed in beautiful traditional attires, kids presented many magnificent programmes that highlighted the glorious history of Hindi. Starting with Grade 1 Varnamala fashion show, Grade 3 to 5 students presented graceful dance and musical performances and spoke at length about richness of Hindi. They also paid tribute to some of the most famous poets and writers of Hindi literature in India who have played instrumental roles in bringing out the beauty of Hindi to the world through their impressive works.

It was great to see the tiny tots express their love and respect for Hindi language on this occasion and we would like to encourage everyone to use Hindi in their daily lives without any hesitation and contribute in keeping its glorious legacy alive.
