Every child is gifted with many talents above their academic scores. It is best to allow them to identify where their interest inclines and to nurture them with the best training. This is an intrinsic part of the holistic learning curriculum followed at GIIS.
‘Nav Kala Sangam Prastuti’ - the impressive CCA Presentation by Grade 6 to 8 students was a grand visual treat as they beautifully represented all the co-curricular activities held in GIIS, Whitefield.
Co-curricular refers to activities, programs, and learning experiences that complement, in some way, what students are learning in school—i.e., experiences that are connected to or mirror the academic curriculum. Public Speaking Club, Raja Ravi Verma Art Club, Needle Craft Club, Nature Club, Home Décor Club, Jhankaar Contemporary Dance, Aryabhatta Math Club, Culinary Club, and Tansen Global Voice – Keyboard Club were the 9 clubs wherein the talent of the students in their area of interest showcased their passion and perfection. The purpose of CCA activities is to strengthen ethics like competitiveness, excellence, zeal, and quality achievements among students by boosting their personality development and also create memories of joyful learning experiences from school.
At GIIS, it is believed that a balanced set of CCA activities will ensure all-round development for kids at school that fuels child’s learning by stimulating creative thought, improving their social and organizational skills, personality progress, and character appeal in students.
Nav Kala Sangam was a delightful amalgamation of the talents and creativity of students under the best guidance of teachers of GIIS Whitefield. Parents were very happy and pleased with the presentation of all the clubs. They appreciated the teachers for their hard work and efforts to put up such an amazing show. They also motivated the children and shared their words of encouragement. They were glad that GIIS has been so consistently working towards the overall development of the students even though the virtual classroom mode.
