GIIS Whitefield Students Win First Place in Business Plan Competition“Pitch Your Plan”!

GIIS Whitefield Grade 12 Commerce students have showcased their talent by winning first prize in the “Pitch Your Plan” Business plan competition held at Glendale International School, Hyderabad. On September 6, 2024, they also secured first place in Ideate 3.0 at GIIS Ahmedabad with the same project.

The winning team, composed of Tanishq Sumitranand, Annmay Arora, Agastya A H, and Samaira Arora, showcased their innovative project, FLORA—Flexible Lifecycle Optimisation and Recycling of ABS Plastics. This initiative is rooted in sustainable development goals, aiming to create a B2B business model that supplies recycled plastics to the cosmetics and medicine industries.

The students impressed the judges not only with their creative business plan but also with their in-depth knowledge of the subject matter. Their presentation highlighted the importance of sustainability and innovation, earning them significant praise for their project name and ability to answer challenging questions.

Mentorship played a crucial role in their success, with Ms. Shanthi, PGT in Business Studies, guiding the team throughout the competition. Her support and encouragement were vital in helping them realise their vision for FLORA.

This remarkable achievement demonstrates the potential of young minds to contribute meaningfully to sustainable business practices. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Team FLORA for their outstanding performance and for making us all proud!

As they continue their journey, we look forward to seeing how their innovative ideas will shape the future of sustainable practices in the business world.
