In the era of intensifying competition, parents want to ensure the best higher education for their children to secure a brilliant future. Right from secondary school, they start their search for the ideal university, one that will not only launch their children’s ambitions but prepare them to carve their own niche in the world of tomorrow.

To help our GIIS parents and students, Global Indian International School, India organized an exclusive Smart Kompass - Virtual Indian Universities Fair 2021 for Grade 9 to 12 on 24th July 2021. This highly informative webinar invited distinguished members from leading Indian universities to share expert insight into the future of work and relevant skills every student will need. The distinguished presenters were members representing 8 leading Indian universities namely Shiv Nadar University-Delhi, NCR; FLAME University-Pune, Maharashtra; Ahmedabad University and Indus University-Ahmedabad, Gujarat; OP Jindal Global University-Sonipat, Haryana; Pandit Deendayal Energy University-Gandhinagar, Gujarat and Whistling Woods International-Mumbai, Maharashtra. They guided the students to discover their true calling and find the University of their dream.

There were words of encouragement to the students and appreciation for the courses offered by these Universities by Mr. Rajiv Bansal (Director Operations, GIIS India), Mr. Ashwani Kumar Saxena (Principal, GIIS Whitefield), Mr. Caesar D' Silva (Principal, GIIS Ahmedabad) and Mr. Ganesh Sharma (Principal, GIIS Noida).

The presentation included glimpses of the campus life, a complete tour, and details of their University like the admission process, courses offered, facilities, scholarship schemes if any, fees, and contact details. There was an engaging question and answer round at the end of each University presentation where the speakers were more than happy to answer all the queries raised by the participants. The event was anchored and co-ordinated by the counselors of the 3 GIIS India campuses - Ms. Reeta from GIIS Ahmedabad, Ms. Debanjana from GIIS Whitefield, and Ms. Shuchita from GIIS Noida with the active support of Ms. Seema Kaushik, Career Counselor of GIIS Singapore campus, who is heading the project on "University Connect".

This event was a huge success with nearly 210 attendees and attracted very good responses from GIIS students in India and abroad.

As a gratitude gesture, a special 'Thank you' email was sent to all the universities. All the students were happy to receive the event recordings along with the important contact details as a takeaway from this informative event. The idea was to help them get in touch with the universities in the future.
