A celebration of life is a very powerful thought and this was the most befitting theme for the Annual day of GIIS Whitefield – Pre Primary kids. The celebration was virtual this year and the vibrant hues of life were stunningly recreated through wonderful performances by the shining smiling stars of Nursery, KG1, and KG2.

The Chief Guest was Mrs. Neetu Pankaj (Founder and Trustee of CDC kids). The Guests of Honour were Ms. Vaishali Borde (National Head Co-Scholastic & Early Years (GMP), GIIS India) and Mr. Parshvadeep Singh Rao (Associate Director-Operations for GIIS Pune and Bangalore).   Mr. Ashwani Kumar Saxena (Principal, GIIS Whitefield) and Ms. Preetha D’Mello (Headmistress, Pre-Primary) were there to grace the occasion with their words of wisdom for the ever-enthusiastic children and motivational message appreciating the success of GIIS Whitefield all throughout the pandemic times. The teachers’ continuous dedication to guide the young ones was highly appreciated and it was great to see the special bond of love nurture between the teachers and kids virtually – a true ode to the celebration of life.

It is said that we need to celebrate life in the smallest of wonders. The Celebration of life was showcased in myriad expressions as great dances. Childhood is the most fun and memorable time in anyone’s life. KG 2B gave a magical and spellbinding dance performance on “Celebration of Childhood”.

Childhood is incomplete without friends. Friendship is one of the greatest bonds anyone can ever wish for. KG 2E showcased the ‘Joy of Friendship’ beautifully and full of expressions. It is the relationship with our friends that teaches us to share, love and care. Love is the most powerful energy connecting human beings. Our country is also a symbol of love as every religion teaches us to love and support each other as well as love our motherland. KG 1B was ready to spread love and warmth.

Love is present everywhere and in Nature. Nature is a precious and notable gift given to us by god. “By discovering nature, you discover yourself”. KG 2A kids tapped their feet to the music on ‘Celebration of Nature’. Nature has tremendous power and keeps changing. There are so many seasons by Nature - winter, spring, summer, autumn, and KG 1A showcased the best of all Seasons!

Little joys in life should be celebrated, as life is a series of happy moments, and happiness is a celebration of life. Nursery showcased a cheerful world highlighting the importance of happiness. The source of Joy and Happiness are Festivals which fill our lives with colours and enthusiasm. Celebration of Festivals was a spectacular one by KG 2C.

The world is a family as all components of this universe are interdependent. KG 2D definitely brought out the message to make a little space, make better space in their rhythmic moves.
