Beginning of something big at GIIS Whitefield this July

July marked many exciting activities and new developments at GIIS Whitefield and set a great tone for the upcoming months.

With the launch of Cambridge international curriculum at our school, we have embarked on a new journey at our campus and look forward to providing a wide expanse of learning to our students in both Indian and international curricula.

"This is a giant step for the school which has already been doing a great job with the CBSE cohorts for many years. The new curriculum will add to the proper learning enrichment of students at a time when the 21st century is offering so many international opportunities"

                                                   - Mr Ashwani Kumar Saxena, Principal, GIIS Whitefield

The month began with the Red day celebration for Pre Primary students where they participated in many activities to learn about the significance of primary colors and had a gala time with their friends and teachers at campus.

Learning through activities is always fun and intriguing and our Middle school students participated in various academic activities that helped them get around the major concepts of Science, Language, and Social Science while also providing them the opportunities to channel their artistic skills.

As a part of our Career Guidance Program, we conducted an informative Mindler orientation session for higher grade students to help them understand the need for career guidance and how a comprehensive platform like Mindler can support them in making informed career decisions. During this enriching session, Mr.Abhishek Gulati, Mindler expert and representative shed light on college and course selection strategies for students and enlightened them on the different aspects of studying in the best Indian and international universities.

Being happy is vital for the health and wellbeing of any individual and our tiny tots of Pre Primary celebrated- Hunt for Happiness week" at school where they learned various life lessons and values that play a fundamental role in deriving happiness at any stage of one's life. This week was full of laughter and joy as the kids participated in multiple activities with their friends in the free and spacious school play areas.

Phonics is an engaging method to teach kids how to recognize letters and combine them to form words. GIIS Whitefield organized an interactive workshop for kindergartners and their parents to cultivate an understanding of this interesting approach in them and received great participation from the parents leading to a successful and memorable workshop.

Another notable event from the Pre-primary segment was the first school assembly for KG2 kids where they learned about the importance of camaraderie and developed a sense of belongingness with their peers.

I'm extremely proud to share with you that CBSE Board results were announced for Grade 10 and 12 towards the end of this month and our students excelled in all streams with flying colours. They once again proved that determination and hard work can lead you to success irrespective of any challenges that might seem like hurdles in your way. I congratulate all the students for their great performances and wish them all the very best for their bright futures.

I would also like to thank all the parents for supporting the school and trusting us with their children’s education. With the introduction of Cambridge curriculum for Grades VI to IX, our school is taking a giant stride in international education and I urge you all to avail this opportunity to expand your child's learning horizons and help them develop advanced skills and knowledge with a world-renowned curriculum. We are conducting many interactive sessions to familiarize you with all the aspects of the Cambridge curriculum at GIIS and I invite you to come and join us to learn more about our offering interspersed with the GIIS holistic framework. Looking forward to meeting you in our live sessions!

Warm Regards,

Mr. Ashwani Kumar Saxena
