Gandhi Jayanti at Global Indian International School, Bannerghatta is celebrated every year in a grand manner honoring the great personality of Mahatma Gandhi. This year our students offered their respect through the virtual medium and they expressed their love for Bapu in so many creative ways.
Gandhi Ji said, “Man is but the product of his thoughts. What he thinks he becomes”. Gandhi Jayanti at GIIS, Bannerghatta always institutes an unabated rekindling of the opportunity to reflect and cherish the life of Gandhi and his values. The essence of Gandhi Jayanti celebration transcends far beyond commemorating Mahatma Gandhi's birth and his life. Gandhi’s ideas on non-violence have charmed the world and are believed to work wonder in uprooting the seeds of hatred and violence from the society. At GIIS Bannerghatta, the students enthusiastically displayed their talents through various activities like tableau, singing and slogans of Gandhi, craft work using ice-cream sticks for making Charkha, collage making, handiwork of Gandhi’s Charkha and essay writing. It was a true remembrance of his ideology and teachings, which he contributed to society.
