Students of GIIS SMART Campus Bannerghatta win accolades in Coding and Painting competitions

Chethas Harsha Rajanna and Anuj Vishwas, students of Grade 5 at Global Indian International School, (SMART) Campus, Bannerghatta made the school proud with their stellar achievements in the areas of coding and painting respectively.

Chethas was recently recognized as the "Certified Game Developer" by a renowned Coding Learning Platform having global operations. He was rewarded for the year 2020 for exceptional skills and outcomes in Game Development with deep UI / UX Interface. At an young of just 10 years, Chethas has been able to gain proficiency in the JavaScript programming language and has worked on sites like Code.org, Thunkable, and Dialogueflow. He is also learning the ropes on Firebase technology and gaining additional insights on Database Connectivity. He started attending online coding classes in order to keep himself occupied during the stay home times. In fact, during the endless COVID 19 times, where most kids are homebound, are in constant lookout for something productive to do apart from the virtual classes held by the school which they thoroughly enjoy. Chethas’ parents have observed that coding has enhanced in his thinking capability and focus after he has enrolled for this course.

On the other hand, Anuj, one of our students passionate about art and painting, won the second place in a painting competition organized by "The Department of Forests, Karnataka on the theme "Colourful World of Butterflies", the valedictory event for which was held in October in Bangalore. Anuj competed with the best “young painters” in the state and was chosen as one among the toppers from among the large number of participants from across many schools.  He has a keen interest in painting and has dabbled in it from a young age. He has had no formal training in painting and was guided by his parents who supported him with the required materials and made sure that he pursued his passion for painting.

Our young smart winners proved that GIIS Bannerghatta is home to diversity in talent.

Hearty congratulations to Anuj, Chethas, and their parents!
