Dear Parents,

“All things seem possible in May”. It is with this positivity that we are all set to embark on the new academic session – 2021-2022. We are hopeful that this year will be full of new learnings and experiences that we will have a lot to learn from. 

Teachers who are the mainstay of an institution, play a huge role in taking the organisation from strength to strength. Not to be left behind are the non – teaching staff who also propel the organisation in the right direction and also significantly contribute to its growth. It is with great pride that I welcome my able staff – both teaching and non-teaching into our fold  - some familiar faces, a few new one’s – all raring to go and with a keen desire to put their best foot forward. A host of training programs were conducted to keep the teachers abreast of the changes and the way forward in what is going to be the second year of virtual classes.

Summer camps on STEAM and Math were a great success and satiated the students’ capabilities to a higher level. These summer camps ensured that students were engaged in productive ways even during the vacation and were a great way to stimulate their minds. 

In the Parent Orientation Meet, we made sure that the parent fraternity – both old-timers and new ones were shared an insight into the vision and the philosophy that the school stands for. I believe that the foundation for a good parent-teacher relationship is frequent and open communication, mutual respect, and a clear understanding of what is best for each individual child. At GIIS, we completely understand the importance of a child’s growth and the sensitive role of parents along with teachers, wherein we foster each child's learning through joint efforts of parents, teachers, and the school. When parents and teachers share responsibility, the end result is highly successful.

I truly hope the momentum continues throughout the year and we are able to complete one more rewarding year with the support and guidance of all our stakeholders. We are on this journey together and let’s work together for a safe and healthier tomorrow.
