Dear Parent,
Greetings from GIIS Ahmedabad!
August has been full of excitement and learning at Global Indian International School (GIIS), Ahmedabad. It created opportunities for students to grow and evolve. Several activities and events such as Independence Day, Rakshabandhan, Janmashtami, Global Student Exchange and others were organised at GIIS Ahmedabad, giving all the students equal chances to participate actively.
First of all, I would like to congratulate all the teachers and staff of GIIS Ahmedabad for their tireless efforts and unwavering support. With their constant dedication, GIIS Ahmedabad has been honoured with the prestigious APQO Innovation Class Award. This recognition celebrates our commitment to fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence. Through APQO’s self-assessment program, the school has identified our strengths across key areas like innovation, leadership, talent, processes, and customer engagement.
To strengthen the ideals of peace by the United Nations, GMP students came together to celebrate World Peace Day and learn the importance of peace and harmony. The teachers taught them how calmness and quietness are important aspects of life, helping the students to understand that peace starts within.
GIIS Ahmedabad celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with much patriotic fervour. The event was marked by a series of activities that instilled a sense of national pride and unity among the students, teachers and staff. The event commenced with the traditional flag-hoisting ceremony by the chief guest, guest of honour and Principal - Mr. Caesar D’silva. It was followed by the national anthem, cultural events, and speeches by the guests.
On the occasion of Rakshabandhan, the tiny tots of the pre-primary segment celebrated the festival with Principal, Mr. Caesar D’silva by tying a rakhi and doing pooja as per the rituals to seek his blessings. The cute little sisters of GIIS Ahmedabad brought sacres threads (rakhi) for their school brothers and in return, they got a packet of biscuits as a gift.
The atmosphere of GIIS Ahmedabad was filled with joy and devotion as our youngest students came together to celebrate the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami. The celebration, which is the birthday of Lord Krishna, was a colourful and lively event, which brought the festival’s spirit alive in the school.
I would also like to congratulate our champions of GIIS Ahmedabad. Om Sharma and Vihaan Patel smashed their way to victory in the U-15 Boys’ at the EKA Club School Premier League. Let us all celebrate our incredible U-19 and U-17 girls' handball team who became champions and 2nd runner-up at the SGFI District-level tournament.
GIIS Ahmedabad is gearing up with extravaganza marquee events like GIIS IDEATE 3.0 in the next month. I look forward to excellent performances and student presentations during the event.
Warm Regards,
Caesar D’silva
Principal, GIIS Ahmedabad
