GSF 20th Anniversary Celebrations kick start with a bang at GIIS Ahmedabad

Remember to celebrate milestones as you prepare for the road ahead.   -Nelson Mandela

?With a modest beginning in the year 2002, today, Global Schools Foundation (GSF) is recognized worldwide as a leader in innovative and trendsetting educational practices. It is a matter of great pride for the entire GIIS family that GSF has completed its glorious 20 years of providing quality education to future leaders.

Year-long celebrations have been planned across all the GIIS Campuses to commemorate this milestone achievement.  GSF 20th Anniversary Launch Programmes were also planned at many of the GIIS Campuses on 18th September 2021, the Foundation Day of GSF, to kick start these celebrations.

GIIS Ahmedabad organized a scintillating programme to mark this event. The entire programme was streamed live for the audience watching from their homes.

The event began with the lighting of the inaugural lamp by Mr. Caesar D’silva Principal, Ms. Gayatri Moras, Vice Principal, Ms. Ruchika Dhingra, Headmistress, and the Co-ordinators at the School Campus. Inculcating the values of the Mahatma is an important component of education at GIIS. In view of this, a tribute was paid to Gandhi ji by the team led by the Principal with the garlanding of his statue installed in the School Campus. On this momentous occasion, the Principal, Vice Principal, Headmistress, Co-ordinators, students, parents, and admin staff planted saplings in the Campus as part of the GIIS Green Initiative.

The glimpses of the school's journey right from the time of its inception were presented, which took everybody down memory lane and made them feel truly nostalgic. After the prayer song by the students, the celebration was officially declared open to the audience with a digital red carpet welcome and the unveiling of the logo of the GSF 20th Anniversary.

We felt truly blessed and privileged to have Mr. Atul Temurnikar, Chairman and Co-Founder, GSF gracing the occasion. His inspiring address about the achievements and exponential growth of GIIS Ahmedabad within a short time, under the leadership of Principal Mr. Caesar D’silva supported by the team of dedicated staff, talented students, and enthusiastic parents, was truly encouraging.

The hearts of everyone swelled with pride on witnessing the growing presence of GIIS across the globe. The testimonies shared by the students and parents indicated how happy and proud they were being associated with GIIS.

Energetic dances by the students of the GMP segment and the staff expressing their joy on this special day of celebration raised the bar of happiness and feeling of camaraderie to an all-time high. The new and old staff members of GIIS Ahmedabad shared their enriching experiences as educators with GIIS. Ms. Gayatri Moras, Vice Principal, threw light on the existing and new projects and the best practices of GIIS Ahmedabad.

The message from Mr. Rajeev Katyal, COO, GIIS  appreciating the growth of GIIS Ahmedabad and envisaging a bright future for the school, boosted the morale of the entire team. Mr. Rajiv Bansal, Country Director, GIIS India, Ms. Sunita Jaisingh, National Head Academics, GIIS, and Ms. Vaishali Borde, GMP and Co-Scholastics Head, GIIS graced the occasion.

In his concluding message, Mr. Caesar D’silva, Principal GIIS Ahmedabad said, “GIIS Ahmedabad follows the culture of Happiness wherein all the stakeholders are an integral part of the school. GSF 20 Launch Programme was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our achievements and also reiterate our commitment to work together with greater enthusiasm as one big GIIS family for our bright future.” He congratulated Team GIIS Ahmedabad for organizing the programme under the coordination of Ms. Ruchika Dhingra, Headmistress.

This launch programme was a precursor to many more exciting events planned for the celebration by GIIS Ahmedabad throughout the year.
