Greetings of the day!

It is the time to celebrate and welcome New Year 2023 cheerfully. As we draw curtains over the year 2022, we carry with us a sense of accomplishment and hope in our hearts for a promising new beginning and hope. 

First of all, I would like to wish you all a very happy and healthy new year. May the upcoming year be full of high energy and greater focus for the students to make their dreams into reality. 

We feel extremely delighted to share that the year 2022 began with an esteemed IMC RBNQ award 2021 for educational excellence and innovation. This year, our students have brought laurels in the sports arena with top positions in MPL 35th National U-11 Chess Championship, CBSE West Zone Swimming Championship, CBSE West Zone Chess Tournament, U-15 School Chess Tournament, Khel Maha Kumbh tournaments. GIIS Ahmedabad students also won prizes at the 11th RWCC competition hosted by smart campus GIIS Singapore.

Global Indian International School - GIIS Ahmedabad celebrates the 20th anniversary of Global Schools Foundation (GSF) this year. On this occasion of GSF's 20th anniversary, we launched 3 mega marquee events - GIIS IDEATE, GIISMUN, and GIIS Alumni Connect. Innovation, Design, Expressions, Art & Creative, Technology, and Engineering - IDEATE is a unique platform for students to enhance and inculcate team spirit, cooperation, and brotherhood virtues. It was organized for the Alpha Generation to showcase and exhibit their innovation and creativity on the main stage. 

More than 450 participants from around 25 schools across Gujarat participated in 17 innovative challenges. The theme includes scientific research, music, technology, fashion, history, writing, and an array of activities. 

GIISMUN, a student-led conference was organized for students to understand and showcase the complexities of diplomacy and to give them exposure to the art of "Agree to Disagree". During GIISMUN’22, equal opportunities to express themselves led every student to develop their leadership qualities and learn to listen, analyze, evaluate, research, and then speak. MUN committees - Lok Sabha, UNEP, ILO, DISEC, UNODC, and Journalism saw a participation of more than 100 delegates. Students from esteemed schools like Global Mission International School, GEMS Genesis International School, Apple Global School, and Anant Schools of Excellence, among others, participated in GIISMUN 2022. We congratulate all the participants and winners for making this marquee event a grand success!

Apart from sports, Grade 10th and 12th students of GIIS Ahmedabad outshone in CBSE board exams. Dev Barot from Commerce topped Grade XII board exams with 95.8% followed by Jeenal Darji and Sonali Modi from the Science stream secured 95.2% and 93% respectively. Garima Chakravarti bagged the first position in CBSE Class 10 board results with 98.8% which was followed by Shivakshi Gupta (97.4%) and Chitrakshi Choubey (95.2%) with second and third positions, respectively. I am delighted to share that the Class 10th board result of GIIS Ahmedabad has topped the list across all GIIS campuses.

To begin with Uttarayan, Republic Day, Environment Day, Yoga Day, Rakshabandhan, Janmashtami, Independence Day, Navratri Nights, Diwali Festival, Children’s Day, Christmas, and many other events, students have always participated with full enthusiasm and zeal. 

I would like to convey my gratitude to all the parents and stakeholders for supporting and trusting our school management throughout the year. Your bond with the school and eternal cooperation is crucial for the overall development of a child. I am looking forward to a stronger relationship with each one of you to make a significant impact on our children’s life.

Last but not the least, a big thank you to all the teachers and staff members for their unwavering support and immeasurable hard work that made all the last year’s achievements possible. We expect the same enthusiasm and encouragement from everyone to accomplish greater heights this year.
