The students of GIIS Ahmedabad have consistently shown remarkable performance in the Olympiads for subjects like Science, Mathematics, Computer Education, English, Social Studies, and General Knowledge conducted by renowned organizations in this field.

A special Felicitation Programme was organized in the school campus on 15th September 2021 for the students securing Zonal and International ranks in the Olympiads conducted by SOF (Science Olympiad Foundation) for the year 2020-21. During the felicitation, the Principal presented certificates and medals to the students, who were accompanied by their parents' children. Ms. Gayatri Moras, Vice Principal, Ms. Ruchika Dhingra, Headmistress, and Ms. Anila James, Co-ordinator( Grades 3 to 5) also congratulated the students, as they received the awards.

The highlights of the number of top awards secured by GIIS Ahmedabad students at Zonal and International levels in the Olympiads conducted by SOF are as follows:

IGKO (GK Olympiad) - 16 Gold medals of Excellence and 6 medals of Distinction.

IEO (English Olympiad) - 23 Gold medals of Excellence, 3 medals of Distinction, 1 Zonal Bronze medal, and  1 Zonal Silver Medal.

IMO (Maths Olympiad) - 28 Gold medals of Excellence and 4 medals of Distinction.

NSO (Science Olympiad) - 27 Gold medals of Excellence and 4 medals of Distinction.

Among the top achievers, Vedant Yadav from Grade 4 has received Silver Medal of Excellence with 5 International and 5 Zonal Ranks, Mann Shah from Grade 6 has received Bronze Medal of Excellence with International Rank 3, whereas Aayan Chettiar from Grade 5 has been awarded Gold medal of Excellence with International Rank 1. Eight students have received gift vouchers ranging from Rs 500 to Rs.1000.

Ms. Pallavi Kulshrestha, the Teacher In-charge of Olympiads from GIIS Ahmedabad,  has bagged the Best Zonal Teacher Award from SOF. The award consists of a trophy and cash prize worth Rs. 5000.

Besides this, over 200 students have received medals from SOF for the top three positions at the school level.

Mr. Caesar D’silva, Principal, GIIS Ahmedabad congratulated the students, parents, and teachers on this outstanding achievement and said during the felicitation ceremony, “We are really proud of this achievement of our students. At GIIS Ahmedabad, we encourage our children to participate and excel in such external exams, so that they are well prepared for the various competitive exams that they will face in the future. ”

The parents thanked the Principal and the teachers for their continuous support, guidance, and motivation to the children in making this achievement possible.
