The Global Indian International School (GIIS) Ahmedabad celebrated the most awaited event of the year, the Grand Navratri Celebration ‘Raas Ni Ramjhat 2022’ on 30th September and 1st October. The students and parents were cordially invited to a cultural extravaganza at GIIS Ahmedabad. The occasion took the audience into the world of Gujarat’s tradition and culture. 

Each day of the Navratri Celebration began by worshiping Goddess Amba, the epitome of wisdom, courage, and power. The celebration was organized in four different groups on both days from 5:45 pm to 8:30 pm and 8:45 pm to 11:30 pm. The students of GMP to Grade 12 were categorized into four different groups and were allotted different timings in the two days 

All the students from GMP to Grade 12 presented wonderful Garba performances which were applauded by everyone. The performances were followed by the Garba presentations of teachers and staff members. GIIS parents also swayed along with the students during the Sheri-Garba wherein the audience was also involved to enjoy the Raas Ni Ramjhat - Navratri Celebration.

During the Navratri celebration, Mr. Shailendra Kumar Mishra, Director of Narcotics Control Bureau, Ahmedabad graced the occasion with his presence as the chief guest. Mr. Rakesh Langanwani - the owner of BENBA, Ms. Rita Champavat - Grace Event Organizer, Henish Patel - Stylist, Garba King of Gujarat and Chairman of Tivoli were invited to judge the Grand Navratri performances.

After every session, the best performances by the students, teachers, and parents were awarded by Mr. Caesar D’silva, Principal of GIIS Ahmedabad. In his message, Caesar D’silva said that “I wish that Maa Durga bestow your family and friends with 9 forms of blessings - Fame, Name, Wealth, Prosperity, Happiness, Education, Health, Power, and Commitment."
