Global Indian International School - GIIS Ahmedabad believes that happiness lies in the little things we have. We, at GIIS Ahmedabad, try to teach the value of small enjoyable moments which make our life whole. 

On the occasion of International Happiness Day, GIIS Ahmedabad organized Happiness Week for Nursery, K1, and K2 students to sensitize them with the value of happiness in life.

Happiness week celebrations was a week-long activity for the students to collect ideas on various topics of different aspects of well-being whether being cognitive, social, physical, or relational. During the week, the GMP students learned about the importance of finding happiness in small moments which add value to our lives. On the first day, the tiny tots enhanced their artistic skills by making beautiful drawings of scenery, gardens, and playgrounds.

On the next day, the concept of  ‘healing garden’ was introduced to the students to help them in improving their focus and enhance mental development through brain gym exercises and aerobics. The tiny tots of Nursery, K1, and K2 also performed yoga and meditation along with their teachers. The third day was movie-time wherein students had fun while watching the animated movie for enjoyment purposes.. At GIIS Ahmedabad we believe that to spread happiness, a person should be happy inside.

The GMP teachers of GIIS Ahmedabad taught the little kids to become independent from the beginning. In this context, ‘Cooking without Fire’ session was arranged for the students who had come dressed up as chefs. They made Monaco bites using biscuits, tomato slices, ketchup, and grated cheese. 

On the last day, teachers of the GMP segment said goodbye to these little stars with a party blast. The last class party was organized for K2 students to congratulate them and wish them good luck in future endeavors.

Wishing good luck to the little gems of GIIS Ahmedabad, the Principal, Mr. Caesar D’silva said, “Congratulations to the K2 graduates! GIIS Ahmedabad is proud of all the students and we would wish them all the best wishes. May our tiny tots shine and conquer the world with their talent, love, and innocence. Kudos to all the young parents who stood by their kids and the school. I would also like to share my happiness and gratitude to the parents for sending their kids in chef attire for the cooking without a fire session. These little efforts are going to make a big impact for our little ones in future."
