Christmas is the spirit of giving without a thought of receiving. It is happiness because we see joy in people.

Christmas brings cheer and love and it is celebrated in the same spirit at GIIS Ahmedabad for spreading the message of hope, love, and joy among the children.  

GIIS Ahmedabad had organized a Christmas Party for the students and staff with a bouquet of activities. The dress code for the party was 'Red' and 'White'. There was drama, melodious carols, dances, and many more exciting activities.

The GMP segment celebrated Christmas on the virtual platform. The parents created  Christmas décor at home to add to the festivity. The attraction of the day was parents becoming Secret Santas of their wards and gifting them their favourite things. Indeed, a wonderful surprise for the tiny tots.

Christmas is the time to relish cakes and snacks and enjoy with the family. So, keeping this in mind, a Virtual Christmas Snack Party was organized for the GMP segment wherein the children had their favourite snack for the day with their peers and teachers. The young chefs enhanced their culinary skills by preparing yummy choco pops and tiny houses made of cookies.

A special assembly was organized in association with the Grace Foundation for the students of Grades 6 to 9 with a beautiful message of love and joy. The students enjoyed the energizers, had a melodious time singing carols, and interacted with the guests confidently.

Christmas was celebrated with gaiety and ardour for Grades 1 to 5. The teachers presented an impressive array of programmes which included rhythmic carols performance by the teachers' choir, a nativity play with a message of hope, and a mesmerizing dance performance by a group of teachers. The programme culminated with a soulful candle dance spreading love and peace. The add-on surprise was the arrival of Santa Claus.

The students and staff came forward as responsible citizens to donate small gifts to the less privileged children of the NGO-Helping Hands as part of the SDG activity- Super Santa. The staff members conducted art and craft and dance activities for the students of the NGO and also distributed food packets to them.

Mr. Caesar D’silva, Principal, GIIS Ahmedabad conveyed his warm Christmas wishes to the students, parents, and staff. He said “Christmas is a festival of joy for everyone. Christmas means being happy, giving selflessly, and wanting to spread happiness to others. It reminds us to be a good human being.” He congratulated the GIIS Ahmedabad team for putting up a wonderful show and thanked the Grace Foundation Team for their association with GIIS Ahmedabad.

It was truly a Merry Christmas as the festive cheer ruled the hearts of all the staff members and the students.
