Global Indian International School, Ahmedabad tasted sweet success during Al Tasamuh 2020 organized by GIIS Abu Dhabi bagging the Rolling Trophy with the highest number of awards in the event in which over 20 schools had participated.

Days of zoom meetings for planning, preparations, and practice, the diligence of the students, and the untiring efforts of the mentors who prepared them bore fruit as the students gave a stellar performance in all the events held during Al Tasamuh and stole everyone’s hearts!

The students got prizes in practically every event! In the Creative, I (STEM) Aerospace Model Making, Mann Shah of Grade 6 and in Architecture Model Making, Mayank Suman of Grade 8 were the winners.  In Beyond the Voice Singing Event, the singing stars of GIIS Ahmedabad, Neev Kanani of Grade 8, and Vaishnavi Chati of Grade 9 secured the winning and first runner-up positions respectively. The super dancers of GIIS Ahmedabad, Anushka Moras of Grade 9 and Moksh Pandya of Grade 6 secured the first runner up positions with their graceful dance movements in the semiclassical and folk dance categories in the Scintillating Feet Event.

In the Tryst with Colours category, the unique Artist Inspired Fashion Design by Bindusmita Panda of Grade 9 and the creative Book cover made by Shrinika Shah of Grade 5 impressed the judges and secured them the first runner up and second runner up positions respectively.

In the Linguistic Luminary event, the orator of GIIS Ahmedabad, Dhey Buch bagged the second runner up position with his charming oratory skills.

Mr. Caesar D’silva, Principal GIIS Ahmedabad expressed his happiness on the achievement of GIIS Ahmedabad saying, “It is indeed a proud moment for all of us at GIIS  Ahmedabad. Al Tasamuh proved to be a wonderful platform for our students to showcase their talents. The result of the successful collaboration of the students, parents, and teachers of GIIS Ahmedabad is evident in the excellent performance of our students. We hope to continue our journey of success.”

Such competitions play an important role in motivating students to perform and excel and offer a lot more opportunities than just winning the prizes.
