The Global Indian International School (GIIS), Ahmedabad organised the Investiture Ceremony for the morning and afternoon shift students to officiate the roles and responsibilities of the newly elected student council.. Students from the senior segment took an oath to work for the welfare of the GIIS Ahmedabad community.
Prior to the official ceremony, the sports team of GIIS Ahmedabad had organised an election event where students from grades 6 to 12 cast their votes to choose their preferred candidates for roles including house captain, sports captain, vice-captain, head boy, and head girl.
GIIS Ahmedabad Investiture Ceremony for the current academic year commenced with the traditional lamp lighting ceremony to start the occasion on a positive note. The lighting of the lamp was done by the chief guest – Mr. Anil Pratham, ADGP, Gujarat for the morning shift and Ms. M. A. Ambaliya, Police Inspector, Shahibagh for the afternoon shift. The audience was left spellbound by the graceful dance performance presented by the talented students of the school. Mr. Caesar D’silva, Principal of GIIS Ahmedabad extended a warm welcome to all the parents and students who joined us to encourage the newly appointed young leaders.
A video was presented by the teachers and students, illustrating the pre-ceremony preparations that had taken place a few days prior to the investiture ceremony. The former head boy and head girl of the ex-student council, Ganeev Tuteja and Samiksha Dey, took the lead in passing the baton of GIIS Ahmedabad to the newly appointed head boy and head girl for the morning shift, Nachiket Bhatnagar and Sneha Chaudhary, followed by the afternoon shift's head boy and head girl, Bhavya Mathur and Shriya Bhavshar.
During the ceremony, the newly appointed head boy and head girl took an oath administered by the Principal pledging to fulfil their duties with utmost sincerity and commitment. The chief guest also addressed the students and parents about the importance of leadership and discipline. The vice principal Ms. Monita Dash – morning shift and Ms. Ronak Purohit – afternoon shift extended a vote of thanks to all the guests, parents, teachers, and students present for their constant support and encouragement.
GIIS Ahmedabad always believes in creating leaders for tomorrow who have the ability to make positive changes with their knowledge and skills. As the young leaders stepped forward to shoulder their responsibilities, there is no doubt that a bright and promising future lies ahead for the entire GIIS Ahmedabad community.
