Dear Parent,

‘Do The Best’ has been our credo at GIIS Ahmedabad. The school activities are in full swing post the Summer Holidays. The month of June 2021 was not only marked with diverse activities that kept us all on the toes but some outstanding achievements that have really made us proud and reaffirmed our confidence in the quality of work being done at GIIS Ahmedabad with the support of all the stakeholders.

We are thrilled to share that GIIS Ahmedabad bagged the Winners trophy at the INTACH  Heritage CIub Awards 2021 yet again. This is the seventh consecutive Award for the GIIS Ahmedabad INTACH Heritage Club- a remarkable feat in itself.

GIIS Ahmedabad also bagged the ‘Overall First Runners Up Champions Trophy’ and was declared the ‘Best Campus with Maximum Participation in the Inter GIIS Educators and Staff Athleta-2021- Season 1 by GIIS Abu Dhabi.

GIIS has in place, various internal support systems and strategies to enhance the skill sets of the teachers to equip them to cater to the 21st Century Learners. In view of this, a six days intensive Orientation cum Training Programme was conducted for the teachers of GIIS Ahmedabad before the re-opening of the school after the Summer Holidays.

More than 1800 attendees, which included the students, parents, and staff members,  participated in the Special Yoga Session with Shri Pavan Kumar during the International Yoga Day Celebrations held by the school.   The Fathers’ Day Celebrations saw the fathers and children bond like never before. We observed the ‘World Environment Day’ to sensitize the students on the issue of  Waste Management.  The special Singing Contest held during the Music Day Celebrations had the singing stars of GIIS Ahmedabad mesmerizing the audience with their melodious voices.  A Leadership Lecture Series (LLS)  Session was conducted for the parents and students of Grades 3 to 5 to raise awareness on and for the prevention of  Child Sexual Abuse.  

We will be giving a warm send-off in July to our very first batch of Grade 12 students who have taken wings and are now ready to soar high in the sky of their dreams. As our students are busy preparing for their first set of assessments to be conducted in July 2021, we would like to convey our best wishes to all of them.  

At GIIS Ahmedabad, we believe that nothing is impossible. We don’t just follow where the path may lead, rather our endeavour has always been to go where there is no path and leave a trail!
