ABU DHABI, 27 OCTOBER, 2018: The values of universal harmony and peace were reinforced in the second Al-Tasamuh Inter-school talent Competition, at GIIS Abu Dhabi.
Commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and 100th birth anniversary of Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the event saw a massive participation of over 1,000 students from 14 schools across UAE. Enthralling dances won hearts in “Scintillating Feet”; drama performances captivated all in “Theatre Mania”. “Hear Me Out” and “Beyond the Voice” were real tests of confidence; “Tryst of Colours” unfurled the creative canvas. Robotics and tech-based competitions gave the young innovators a platform for their unique solutions.
The event brought talent of diverse kinds, uniting them in the spirit of forgiveness and tolerance, besides teamwork and healthy competition. “The enthusiasm and dedication from the children brings a smile to my face and makes me believe that we are on the right track to moulding them for a better tomorrow while fostering the values of peace and diversity and making them more productive and sustainable learners”, says Mr. Amol Vaidya, Director Operations, Global Indian International School.
