‘Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.’
To inculcate the leadership qualities in the students and give them a feel of the functioning of the administrative body, a school prefectural board was formed after scrutinous interviewing and selection.
The selection procedure for various positions this year had to be tailored keeping in mind the changed circumstances. The most challenging task was the selection process which started with nomination along with a speech, video uploading and finally voting. The process was successful, transparent and was completed with speed and efficiency.

INTER GIIS SPORTS FOR STAFF
It’s not the will to win that matters - everyone has that. It’s the will to prepare to win that matters. - Paul "Bear" Bryant.
Stamina, speed, strength, skill, and spirit go into winning but the greatest of these is spirit. With this spirit of sportsmanship, GIIS Abu Dhabi took great pleasure in organising the first ever Virtual Inter GIIS Sports Valedictory ceremony on Saturday, 19th of June 2021 at 9:30 a.m. (UAE time).
‘So many people along the way, whatever it is you aspire to do, will tell you it can't be done. But all it takes is imagination. You dream. You plan. You reach. There will be obstacles. There will be doubters. There will be mistakes. But with hard work, with belief, with confidence and trust in yourself and those around you, there are no limits’.
No one could have imagined such a resounding success of the GIIS Abu Dhabi’s INTER GIIS EDUCATOR AND STAFF ATHLETA WEEK 2021-2022 (SEASON 1). ‘Good leaders know how to unleash positive traits in others. ‘
With this thought, we invited Mr. Amol Vaidya to address the gathering and give an insight into the importance of Sports and Physical Fitness during the pandemic. Sadly, the country had lost a great sports champion Milkha Singh on this day for whom we paid homage for 2 mins . Amol Sir also reminded the gathering that this particular day was being observed as the Stroller’s Day emphasizing again the importance of walking or about fit in general.
After this thoughtful and enlightening speech, we invited our Chief Guest Mr. Rathin Kandhadia – a versatile leader and an articulate speaker to address the gathering.
A genuine leader is not a searcher for consensus, but a molder of consensus.
