GIIS Abu Dhabi’s Library Department recently collaborated with Glendale International School, Dubai for an exciting virtual book discussion centred on Roald Dahl's "George's Marvellous Medicine." This event involved our grade 4 students and spanned three weeks of engaging, cross-cultural interaction.

Over these weeks, students from both schools shared their thoughts, interests, and cultural perspectives on a shared Padlet platform. This innovative approach allowed young readers to connect, reflect, and discuss the themes and characters of the beloved book, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of literature.

The collaboration culminated in a lively Virtual Book Discussion event this week. Students enthusiastically participated, bringing their unique insights and questions to the discussion. The event was a testament to the power of collaborative learning and the enriching experience of connecting with peers from different cultural backgrounds.
