GIIS Tokyo Kindergarten Students celebrate Christmas

Youth is in the DNA of Global Indian International School (GIIS), and it is committed to its vision of being a one stop solution to all educational needs of children of the vast Indian diaspora, GIIS chairman Atul Temurnikar said.

Speaking at the 'Connecting Diaspora Youth' event at the just concluded India-Asean Pravasi Bharatiya Divas in Singapore, Mr Temurnikar emphasized on the vision of the foundation of being dedicated to the overall development of children from age 2.5 years to 18 years. This is being achieved through a robust and well-rounded curriculum encompassing academics, fine arts and sports.

Besides this, the GIIS has also introduced the peace curriculum which helps inculcate good values in students of kindness, helpfulness etc.

As part of its social responsibility, the foundation has been running a government school in the tribal region in Gujarat for 10 years, and holds yoga classes at various community centers and venues in Singapore which is very popular with locals.

Mr Temurnikar later shared space at a panel discussion with other dignitaries like Ms Ashraf Patel, co-founder of Pravah and ComMutiny, and National University of Singapore lecturer Dr Mustafa Izzuddin among others.
