In its second season, the award will cover a larger Indian Diaspora base, as it invites nominations from any Non Resident Indian (NRI), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) and Person of Indian Origin (PIO) residing in USA, Canada, Singapore, UK, and Middle East including Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait.</p>
<p align="justify"><a style="color: #000000;" name="this"></a>This year, for the first time, the award also invites nominations from Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong and Thailand. The award will honour individuals from different walks of life in the various categories, which include:</p>

GIF will also present the <strong><em>&lsquo;Global Student of the Year Award&rsquo;</em></strong> to recognise students who have undertaken exemplary initiatives towards betterment of the society, accompanied by exceptional academic achievements.
