RWCC, a global competition to be held at Singapore, announces finalists from India for the Inter-GIIS Quality Circle Presentation

Global Indian International School (GIIS) Campuses in India participated in the Inter-GIIS Quality Circle presentation (QCP) as a part of the ongoing RWCC competition to be held on 17th November at the GIIS Singapore East Coast Campus. The theme for this year’s challenge was Innovative Social & Commercial Entrepreneurship Challenge, and had children participating from GIIS Noida, Chinchwad, Indore, Bangalore, and Ahmedabad. Students from three major categories namely Upper Primary (i.e. Grades 4-5) and Middle School (i.e. Grades 6-8), and SEC (Grades 9-12) took an ardent part in the most awaited Inter-GIIS challenge of the year.

GIIS Chinchwad hosted the semi-final round on 26th September, 2017 through WebEx.  Each presentation was directed towards identifying the true cause of the problem, collecting information and analysis, possible way outs, and sure shot solutions to the issue. The topics chosen by students were stress management, adolescence education, paper cakes, etc. Each team had presented their bit in detail that covered information about various surveys conducted to highlight the pre and post impact of the remedial activities taken up. The whole process of putting forth their ideas, students from each GIIS campuses showcased their research in well-formed slideshow supported with verbal description.

The panel of esteemed judges for the event were Mr. Ajay Pawar - Quality Assurance specialist having 23 years of experience in managing & executing EPC projects, Mr. Devidas Naik - Certified Process Professional with over 37 years of rich experience with reputed MNCs across industry verticals, and Mr. Nitin Adya who has over 26 years of experience in Engineering and Automobile Industries and has also worked in Operational excellence. Along with them, Ms. Sunita Jaisingh - National Academic Head, GIIS India, and Ms. Vaishali Borde, Head–National Co-Scholastic & GMP, GIIS India also graced the competition with their valuable presence.

Each presentation was aimed at tackling serious issues within the school or community. The judges praised our students for the commendable work they had showcased with so much of clarity in the objective to be achieved. One of the judges even appreciated our students for delivering presentation as experienced professionals. Teachers too were appreciated for putting in so much of efforts and time as they prepared students for the extra ordinary conceptualization and final outcome.
