GIIS Tokyo Celebrate ISRO's Achievement

RWCC 2019

Students and teachers of Global Indian International School (GIIS) Tokyo Campus celebrated the successful launch of 104 satellites by The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). A special assembly was held to showcase the record satellite launch by the organization. ISRO is the space agency of the Government of India headquartered in the city of Bengaluru in India. Its vision is to improve space technology for national development, while pursuing space science research and planetary exploration.

The students at GIIS Tokyo Campus were informed about the record launch through speeches and videos during the special morning assembly. The launch took place in February 2017, and the students were informed that ISRO successfully launched 104 satellites in a single rocket (PSLV-C37) which created a world record. Of the 104 satellites, 101 belonged to the other countries, including the US (96), the Netherlands (1), Switzerland (1), Israel (1), Kazakhstan (1) and the UAE (1).

The students were thrilled and amazed to be part of this phenomenon.
