GIIS Tokyo Campus students take part in the Regional History Bowl and Bee Competition

History Bowl and Bee Competition

Students eagerly preparing for the competition

Students of Global Indian International School, Tokyo have yet again clinched success in qualifying for the Asian and International History Bowl and Bee Competition to be held in Thailand and Hawaii (USA) in June and July 2016 respectively.

The History Bee and Bowl are two history quiz competitions in English, which are held around the world. The Bee is for individual students and the Bowl is for teams. The competition was held at Lycée Français International de Tokyo, a French International School in Tokyo, on 16 January 2016 with many other international schools.

Four teams participated in History Bowl Competition and one team qualified for the Asian and International History Bowl competition. The students who qualified from Middle School Division are:

  1. Riya Alluri (Class 7)
  2. Shravan Kruthick Sridhar (Class 7)
  3. Kaoru Ogino (Class 7)
  4. Mikhail Isiah Paglinawan (Class 7)

Three students qualified for the Asian and International History Bowl Competition. They are:

  1. Shravan Kruthick Sridhar (Class 7)
  2. Johann Sylvester Josephraj (Class 6)
  3. Rahul Joshi (Class 9)
