GIIS Tokyo Campus felicitates its students for their stupendous Class 10 performance

GIIS Tokyo Campus felicitated its Class 10 students for their outstanding grades in CBSE results. For the event, the school invited Dr Purnima Rupal, as the Guest of Honor. The students were awarded certificates and gifts in the order of their performance.

Dr Rupal assumed the post of Counsellor, Science & Technology at the Embassy of India, Tokyo, in Dec 2015. Prior to this assignment, she was engaged as a Principal Scientist, and Coordinator of the International Science & Technology Affairs Directorate at the Council of Scientific & Industrial Research, New Delhi.

The event was also graced by Honorable Ambassador Aftab Seth, Vice president, Global Schools Foundation and Principal of GIIS Tokyo Campus Ms Rajeswary Sambathrajan.

The welcome speech for the event was delivered by the School Captain, Erisa Kawabata of current Class 10 and the vote of thanks by School Vice-Captain Nupura Prabhune of Class 9. While addressing students, Dr Rupal and Ambassador Aftab Seth praised them for their hard work and determination. The event was followed by a brief get-together of the guests, invited students and parents.
