On 22 February, Global Indian International School (GIIS) Tokyo Campus bid adieu to the graduating class 10 and 12 students. The small get-together commenced at the grade 12 classroom with a brief welcome address by the grade 12 class teacher, Ms. Sobia Ahmed. It was followed by a few words of praise and encouragement by the school Principal Ms. Rajeswary Sambathrajan, who advised the students to do their best in the CBSE exams in March 2017. She also advised the students to remain focused in whatever they do in life, referring to the challenges they may face in the outside world and how they should be able to overcome them. All the teachers who were present felt nostalgic about the students’ time in school and wished them the very best for their upcoming exams.

The students also shared about their experiences in school. They took the audience down memory lane and shared a few funny episodes of their lives in school. Students also thanked each teacher for helping and supporting them all the way.

The school Principal then presented gifts to all the students. The gifts were a mix of 'L'occitane' and 'The Body Shop' hand and nail creams, soaps and towels for girls and for the boys in grade 12, the gifts were portable wireless phone charger. This was followed by a brief lunch session.
