GIIS Tokyo Campus and GIIS Indore Campus, with the support and assistance of Ms Sunita Jaisingh, organised a social studies cross-country quiz competition on November 30, 2012. The quiz was conducted via a video conference session.

There were three rounds for the quiz. The topic for the first round was Zones of the World. The second and third round consisted of Environment and Identification of the flags of Asia respectively.

There were four teams in all - Teams A and B students from Indore and Teams C and D students from Tokyo. Rounds 1 & 3 were conducted by teachers of GIIS Tokyo while as Round 2 was conducted by teachers of GIIS Indore. Each round had two direct questions and for each direct question the students were given a maximum of 2 minutes to answer. For every question passed on to the next team, a maximum of 1 minute was allotted to answer the question.

After 3 thrilling and exhilarating rounds, Teams C & D from GIIS Tokyo Campus won the quiz competition by bagging the 1st and 2nd positions, respectively.
