BLUE DAY was celebrated on the theme of ‘Monsoon’ and the students of Pre-primary section enjoyed learning about the season and also the various blue objects that are associated with it through this interactive activity. The classrooms were decorated with beautiful cut-outs and objects of blue colour. The soft boards were pinned with blue clouds, dark blue sky and blue droplets of rain forming light blue puddles. The students and teachers were dressed in blue attire and the assembly started by introducing the kids to various topics related to colour blue. The little ones carried blue toys and blue bags which they displayed happily. Some even showed off their blue slippers and blue bracelets. Children and teachers sang and danced on ‘Blue’ at the audio-visual room. The little ones took a trip round the school building, stopping to identify all blue coloured objects within the premises. The final activity comprised hand print, collage making and worksheet that had reference of blue either through visual or auditory or language cues. The children learned through this fun-filled activity and were happy. Happy children learn better and at GIIS, all modules of early years of learning are carefully crafted to obtain maximum learning outcomes in a stress-free environment.
